Roberto Brenes Pérez has a long track record in Commercial Banking, Corporate Finance, and Capital Markets development. He has combined roles in both the development and supervision of financial markets. He has served as a regulator of Panama’s securities market, Executive Vice President of the Panama Stock Exchange, and as a banker in Panama and the region. He is President of Singular Wealth Management Corp.
As an entrepreneur, Roberto Brenes has been a shareholder and director in various companies. He founded the weekly "La Gaceta Financiera," a pioneer of economic journalism in Panama. He is also the founder of Auromar S.A., an agro-industrial company dedicated to the development and export of specialty coffees.
As a guild activist with liberal ideas, he has served as president of the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE). He is the founder and president of the Fundación Libertad de Panamá, a director of the Liberal Network of Latin America (RELIAL), and a member of the Mont Pelerin Society. He is also a founder and member of the Executive Committee of the National Civic Crusade, the civic-guild movement that encouraged the overthrow of the military dictatorship in Panama in 1989.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Administration and Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.
